Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Age: Must be at least 16 years old in the state of California.
Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Education (Preferred): A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
Documentation: Applicants must present a valid California ID and Social Security Card upon submitting the application.
Background Check: Live Scan fingerprinting must be completed prior to orientation or on the day of orientation.
Health Screening: Must complete a Physical and TB (Tuberculosis) skin test prior to patient contact.
Agreements: Must sign the Student Agreement and Enrollment Form.
Vaccination: You Do Not have to have the COVID-19 primary vaccination series and booster to take the course.

A: To secure your enrollment in either the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) program, you must follow these two main steps: Pay the Enrollment Fee: Visit the Enrollment page on our website to pay the non-refundable $250 enrollment fee. This fee reserves your seat in a specific course. Complete the Required Paperwork: After paying the fee, you will be given instructions and access to the full application. A: The full tuition generally covers all mandated classroom instruction, skills lab practice, and clinical training hours required to complete the program. However, you will still have to pay for several essential items and services separately in order to be eligible to complete the class. These additional required expenses are not included in the tuition: Live Scan/Fingerprinting Fee, Physical Exam and TB Testing/Clearance, BLS Certification, Textbooks, Uniform, and State Certification Exam Fee. A: All applicants must undergo a Live Scan (DOJ fingerprint) criminal background check for clearance by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). A criminal record does not automatically disqualify you, but the CDPH will review all convictions on a case-by-case basis. They consider factors like the nature and severity of the crime and the amount of time that has passed. Please review the Disqualifying Penal Code list attached below to see if you are eligble to become a CNA.
